If we are awarded CSIR-UGC NET scholarship under EWS category, is it mandatory to apply under the same category during PhD ?

Papiya Mazumder 25th Aug, 2019

Hello,

As per your requirement, I would say that as you are awarded the scholarship of your degree under ews category so for applying for phd you need to have to apply for ews quota only. You can also opt for general category only as its a open category for all because you there is no reservations for general caste . But you cannot apply for under caste other than ews or general as others have their own reservation criteria.

But its its always better, safe and advisable as to avail the quota which you really belong it as it create a fair chance and you don't get any seat of another student of general category as you already have ews quota. In favt, ews quota has its own reservation and some seats only for this quota so you can avail its benefits of ews quota.

Good luck

How many GMC are participating in mopround and total seat vacancy azamgarh And jalone GMC are there please send fast

Papiya Mazumder 25th Aug, 2019

Hello,

As per your requirement, i would say that there can be no such fixed or exact information regarding this as there are many government medical college participating everu year in mop up round which is basically for filling up seats in central or deemed universities. It is the fill up of vacant seats of previous rounds.

Total seat vacancy can't be said exactly as it will depend on no of students to seat ratio, cur off of the college, your rank and no. Of students applying. So check out its offiial site of the college and see the last cut off and rank. You can predict your chances.

Good luck

Animesh Vats Student Expert 20th Aug, 2019

Hi Seejal,

Well so as you should know that there won't be any stray vacancy counseling round organised after the mop up round, even if there is vacancy of seats.

The mop up round is the last round that is organised and no further rounds will be organised.

I hope this information helps.

All the best.

Can one participate in state counselling if alloted a seat in deemed medical college? For how many days can the college hold the seat?

Animesh Vats Student Expert 20th Aug, 2019

Hi Seejal,

Well once you are allocated a seat, after that you are supposed to report to the allocated college within the time period given to complete the process.

If you fail to do so and do not report to the college within the given time frame then you will loose your seat subsequently.

I hope this information helps.

All the best.
