KEAM ( Kerala engineering Architecture Medical) is mandatory if you want to pursue your studies in Kerala. KEAM is a state level examination which is conducted in Kerala for courses in field of Engineering, Architecture and pharmacy.
If you want to study from some other state then you have to give the state level exam for that particular state. But KEAM is only important if you want to study B pharm in Kerala .

As per 2019 56000 was the closing rank of the course so there is a chance of you bagging a seat in further rounds. Though the placements in UIET are not great but you can pursue post graduation from top institutions like IISC, IITs via gate and get a chance to work with Tata Steel, jindal stainless, vedanta, GE aviation etc which are top recruiters in this field. Also via Gate you can get an entry in to reputed PSUs like IOCL, SAIL, DRDO, BARC, BIS, NALCO etc. Also Tata Steel annually organizes its Assistant Engineer Trainee Exam, for recruiting the people asAssistant Managers/Assistant Engineers. Arcelor Mittal-Nippon Steel India and Tata Metaliks often conduct regular Off campus drives for Metallurgical Engineers.

* Printout of your NEET examination admit card
* Your passport size photograph
*A valid ID proof of yours like Aadhar card or Voter ID or Passport etc
*PWD certificate (if it is applicable)
* A face mask, hand gloves, a transparent water bottle and a small sanitizer.

Alltough u didn't mention your category but you said that you score 78 percentile.
Last year in 2019 The lowest rank and the lowest category rank who got admission in civil engineering is 82 percentile(sc) .
Soo if you want admission in civil , electrical and mechanical branch than its little bit hard to get there .
But you can easily get leather technology there .
