One of my friend has given neet this year.he was born with single kidney.can he get a seat under disabled quota?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 17th Aug, 2019
Dear Anjali, any Candidate to be considered under Disability Category, he/she should have locomotor, visual disabilities that impair his/her daily life. Not sounding curt, single kidney is not a disability. It is called Renal Agenesis. Most people birn with this condition live a normal and happy life. A disability is something that hampers a normal living. So unfortunately your friend cannot be considered under PWD Category.

How to prepare for GPAT exams and when to start preparing it? Im right now in 1st year bpharm. Also. Please tell me about NIPER exams too

Shivam bhardwaj Student Expert 17th Aug, 2019

Hello Ananya,

GPAT 2019 requires a candidate to be thorough with everything he has learned in the B Pharm course. Aspirants must hence have a good preparation strategy to crack the exam.

  • GPAT preparation can be done by using different techniques to study, solving previous years’ questions and mock papers.
  • Aspirants should be thorough with GPAT study pattern to prepare well for the exam.
  • Focus on all important chapter covered in Pharmacology as 25- 30% questionsare asked from this section.
  • Around 4-5 numerical problems are asked every year so practice solving these questions.
  • Some questions from organic and physical chemistry based on 10+2 levelare also asked.

Hope you are looking for this.

Good luck

Can a non Esic student apply for esi quota in Kerala?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 17th Aug, 2019
Dear Sreema, the IP Quota of ESIC Medical Colleges is strictly for the wards of the Insured through ESI. Unless either of your parents are employess of ESI, you cannot claim this reservation. However, there are also general seats in ESIC Medical Colleges which are filled under State Counselling. For example if you want to apply for ESIC Medical College in Kerala, the same rules of domicile belong to this College as well. You need to hold domicile of Kerala and choose this option in your locking stage.

My Jenpauh rank is 8626 .So can I qualify for councelling?

srinja.006_9773413 Student Expert 17th Aug, 2019

Hello Aspirant.

You will be able to know whether you have qualified or not once the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination board releases the cutoff for JENPAUH 2019.

With my knowledge, you might qualify but you will not get any Government colleges as the total number of seats alotted for BSC Nursing is about 325 seats and a rank of 8626 doesn't come into consideration.

You can try for private colleges but it might be very difficult for you to get a seat in one as the seats are already less compared to your rank.

I am listing below the names of some private colleges along with the number of seats they have :-

  • Institute of Paramedical & Therapeutic Sciences & technology : 40 seats
  • Nopany Institute of Health Care Studies : 40 seats
  • Haldia Institute of Health Care Sciences Haldi, Purba Medinipur : 40 seats
  • College of Physiotherapy (Peerless Hospital) : 10 seats
  • Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences (RKM) : 10 seats
  • Burdwan Institute of Medical & Life Sciences : 30 seats

Hope that helped.

All the best!
