Merchant Navy
Hello Sumedh,
For doing DNS you first need to give IMU-CET which is conducted by Indian Maritime University twice every year for DNS. After that you need to separately apply for the company sponsorship exam after clearing the exam you have to go for Medical and for DNS criteria is you should have eyesight 6/6 without glasses.
See some companies have their own colleges like Anglo Eastern, Great Eastern etc. So they give you their own college but some companies don't have Colleges than you have to go for counselling of different colleges and company will guide and sponsor you for that.
For more details go to www.imu.edu.in.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any query.

The course covers all both theoretical and practical aspects related to maritime studies. Towards completion of the course, cadets go on to assume professional capacities in the field, such as Navigation Officer on Merchant Navy ships. Before cadets can assume such roles as Navigating Officer in Merchant Navy ships, they are made to go through mandatory 12- months long sea service. The fee strcuture of any courses varies, but on average it ranges between 4-5 lakhs. Other than this, the following courses are also available:
