Hey Purushotham Kumar Singh,

Marine engineering is an engineering stream which completely refers about shipping, industry , trade and management filed too. It is based on shipbuilding to tradinng.

Merchant Navy is completely based on same as marine engineering, but is just as division of marine engineering referred as a sub part. This field is completely a commercial field. You can expect international trading from this field

The best one is based on you. Because both of them are equal. Because merchant navy is a sub division of Marine engineering

Whether flat foot is allowed in merchant Navy or not

ruchika.chauhan Expert 29th Nov, 2018

Hello Harsh

I think flat feet is not allowed. According to the medical requirements for B.Tech Marine Engineering in Tolani Maritime Institute, there should be no disease or impairment of functions of bones or joints. There should also not be any abnormal curvatures of the spine, deformity of legs and feet like bow legs, knock knee, flat feet.

You can check the details-

Good Luck!

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 23rd Dec, 2018

Hey Mitesh.

To be eligible to take admission in IMU CET  you need atleast minimum aggregate marks of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th boards and  Atleast 50% marks in English. Hence you'd be able to take the test and get admission only if your score atleast more than 60% and not with 54%.

Best of luck
