For calculating index mark at mg, you have to first take the sum of your marks in 4 subjects. (Not english and second language). You will get 50 mark each as weightage for your 3 optional subjects plus 15 marks for ncc/nss/ex-servicemen. Sum of all these gives your index marks.

You need to complete your Bachelor of Science degree in botany/ zoology/ Chemistry/ Physics/ life sciences/ environmental science/ environmental management/ Geography /geology /microbiology/ biotechnology /biochemistry /plant or animal science/ agriculture /fisheries and aquaculture forestry/ horticulture with at least 55% marks in the aggregate in the final graduation examination.
