I managed to clear my CBSE board examination with an aggregate of 94.8% and i wish to pursue Bsc Physics from MG University, prior to this i have applied in CMS Kottayam and Sacred Heart Thevera keeping Bsc physics as my first preference, can anybody tell the chances of getting a seat by merit?
Hi,
Candidates willing to take admission in these institutions are expected to complete 12th board examination from a recognized university in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry & Maths as core subjects) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
So, you have a score of 94.8% which is great & you have a fair chance of getting a seat in the college of your choice to study Bsc Physics. Having said that, the admission will be based on the competitive merit of students applying for the counselling process, so students scoring more than you will get more priority. This year, there's a confusion regarding the board results so anything cannot be guaranteed but you have a good score so you can stay positive about getting a seat.
Hope this helps.

I am a student currently doing BCA in MG University. should I go for MCA for MSc cyber security? also comparing cusat, Calicut University, mg and k t u, which syllabus is easier to study for MCA?
Hello,
Yes definitely studying further is never harmful. And bachelor degree doesn't have much value as compared to masters in one. Specialization will help you getting a good job with more salary.
Cyber security is a subject that is very knowledgeable and will help you in future. As digital world is increasing so are the threats and insecurities. Cyber security is the practice of defending computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks, and data from malicious virus.
India simply lacks skilled cyber security professionals. In fact, the need for experienced professionals is so high that companies are willing to pay a premium salary of over Rs 1.5 to 4 crore to top talent.
Now MCA syllabus is almost same in all universities. The thing that would very is practicals and teaching skills. Some colleges may incorporate some programming languages while others would leave it. So choose according to your preference.
Hope this helps!!!

I am going to do pg in mg university after doing ug in calicut university through PGCAP. I have chosen conventional marking system for mark entry. It says that to convert grade to percentage. But when I use (cgpa/total grade point×100) I got percentage less than my actual grade. what should I do.
hello,
Calicut university has released 3 formulas to convert the CGPA into percentage. They have divided into 3 categories,
- less than 40
- 40 to 90%
- 90 to 100 %
So for the range 40 to 90 it is 40+(CGPA-0.5) * 10
for 90-100% it is 90+(CGPA-0.5) * 20
Hope it helps, Good luck
