I got 96 in jenpauh can i apply for counseling?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019

You should apply for counseling. Though the cutoff score for general candidates is 105 (approximately), but you should at least give it a chance. If seats remain vacant in any of the private colleges you can get a chance. So you should not loose hope as of now.

Even if you don't get through, you can study hard for the next time to get a good government college.

Good luck

Hello aspirant,

It would be more helpful to provide you with appropriate details if you have mentioned details more precisely as the name of the examination you have taken. So yes, you are having opportunity to get into the college you are aiming for. But it also depends on the group you choose.

All the very best!!

My sisters rank is 12232 in JENPAUH. Can she get any private college ? Please name those colleges.

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019

With the rank you're mentioning I'm afraid she doesn't have a chance in any colleges in West Bengal through Jenpauh because the total number of seats available in different government and private colleges combined for all the courses together is approximately 1000. Moreover if she's planning to study BSc Nursing then it would be very difficult as there's a huge competition for that. But she can definitely try next year to get a good government college.

My jenpauh rank is 7092..can I get any private college? Please help... How many seats are available there??

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019

With your rank you have very less chances of getting any college in West Bengal through Jenpauh as there are approximately 1000 seats in various government and private colleges combined with 45% seats reserved for OBC, SC and ST candidates. So it's difficult to get any college even in the subsequent rounds of counseling.

But you can try next year to get a good government college.

Good luck

my daughter ranked 7832 in jenpauh 2019... Is there any possibility of getting private colleges around kolkata? Plz help...

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 28th Jul, 2019

With the rank you're mentioning I'm afraid there are very less chances of her getting a college. There are a total of 1000 seats (approximately) in all the government and private colleges combined and 45% of which is reserved for OBC /SC /ST candidates. So even if seats remain vacant in subsequent rounds of counseling it will get filled fast before reaching a rank beyond 3000.

But she can certainly try next year to get a good government college.

Is there any chance of getting admission through jenpauh with high rank in 3rd counselling?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019

If you have a rank greater than 2000 then your chances of getting admission through Jenpauh declines as the total number of seats available in West Bengal through the examination is approximately 1000 considering all the courses. Even if you wait for the 3rd round of counseling, the colleges are not going to breach their intake numbers.

But most of the time some seats in private colleges remain vacant so you may get a chance if seats are there in private colleges.

Good luck

My marks in jenpauh exam is 102 and combine rank is 1941 and obc -b rank is 300 shall I get chance in semi government college???

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019

There are an approximately 70 seats for OBC - B category candidates. So depending on that you may get a private college if seats remain vacant there. The semi government colleges are private colleges only but the difference is just that they receive some resources from the government from time to time.

So you can check out the following colleges

  • Haldia Institute of Healthcare Sciences
  • Burdwan Institute of Medical and Life Sciences
  • Nopany Institute of Healthcare studies

Good luck
