Which Nit would be better MNNIT Allahabad or VNIT Nagpur...?

Abhishek Roy 12th May, 2021

Both the NIT are more or less at par with each other. Choose the one which is at your Vicinity. Both MNNIT and VNIT have great infrastructure, faculty, research and placement prospects besides providing effective engineering education.

I got 94.96 percentile in jeemains and i am obc ncl candidate from bihar . Can I get any branch in NIT ALLAHABAD with this .or in some other good north indian NITs.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 10th Apr, 2021

Hi

With 94.96 percentile

Your obc rank will be around 15,000

With this rank you have very low have chances in NIT Allahabad

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, under other state quota 11478 obc rank  was closing rank for gender neutral for obc category in NIT Allahabad and it was for biotechnology

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

You have some boundary chances in lower NITs in lower branches which are listed below along with their 2020 closing rank under other state in the sixth round of josaa counselling :-

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala    Production Engineering :- 15723 obc rank

  • Nit nagaland :- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering :- 15340 obc rank

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

i got 140 marks, can i get nit Allahabad with state qouta and state obc reservation

Sree Student Expert 21st Mar, 2021

Dear student,

For your JEE Mains marks your expected percentile is in the range of 96.84 - 98.24. Your rank will be in between 18005 - 36340. With this rank you can't get seat in NIT Allahabad based on previous year's closing ranks. You can try for other NITs or good Private Engineering Colleges.

I got 98.187percentile in jee mains can you predict my CRL rank and OBC rank and which I get in MNNIT

Ashish Kumar Verma 9th Mar, 2021

Hello Dear,

On this percentile your general rank between 20164 - 16084 . Your chances of getting NIT or top government college is high Although you have not mentioned your home state. But as you know the cutoff changes every years because it depends upon the number of seats available, the difficulty level of paper and number of candidates writing the examination hence varies every year depending on these factors. It also depends on home state and other state as you have not mentioned your home state. IF you belong to UP then the chances of getting MNNIT is very high. You can check previous year cutoff of MNNIT.

You can check out your rank on the basis of your score from the below link.

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

I would recommend that you should wait for the official declaration of the cutoff rank. Meanwhile you can check the below link to know about previous years cutoff trend.

How many marks should be in JEE Main (March) 2021 to get more than 99 percentile in OBC category? Plz

Sowmya Konkala 6th Mar, 2021

hello aspirant,

As of now its tough to estimate what is the exact mark you need to get more than 99 percetile but based on previous year analysis we will help you.each year the cutoff changes due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficutly level etc factors so note that as each year it changes so are your chances into colleges.now to fetch a percentile more than 99 you need a minimum of 180+ CONSIDERING IF THE PAPER IS MODERATE.and scoring more than 180 makes it easier even if the cutoff rises.so target high and work for it.for more information you can refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor/result

hope this helps,

thankyou.
