NIT allahabad vlsi may be better option here then nit calicut vlsi then nit rourkela vlsi mainly because course of all nits are almost same so if you are from north india then its better you join mnnit only otherwise you may even move sothwards also moreover since you will be joining mtech so most mtech students also do a secondary coaching for exams like upsc and allahabad has been known for coachings and has a rich legacy of top performers being from allahabad's coaching's only.

If you go by ranking then nit trichy is best but ranking does not tell the real scene nit allahabad has best average placements among all nits and even better then some iits yes you heard that right and not one these placements in nit allahabad are slowly breaking great barriers and have crossed half a crore mark this year in CSE department but all 3 colleges you  mentioned are good and it more or less depend on you which one to choose. If you are still confused you may go ahead with nit trichy if language barrier is not a problem for you

I think that NIT allahabad is very good and best college for pursuing ee in terms of better placements , huge campus , better academics , admission , best facilities and good activities . YES you will not see IT branch in mnnit as from this year onward mnnit has discontinued its IT branch hence you should consider cse branch there as the seats of IT branch have been merged with that of the cse branch, the reason was the waning interest of candidates and firms to opt for the IT branch, moreover mnnit is planning to start an applied mechanics branch but when it would come into force it is not known
