MSRIT: 

It is an old institution and more reputed one. It considers COMEDK and CET scores for merit based seats. 

MSR :

this university is newly opened. They have their own curriculum. It considers comedk-unigauge and cet scores for merit based seats.

According to the The extended round of tue counselling session for the year 2018, the cutoff rank was 1145 for CSE branch at MS RAMAIAH University.

as per your rank you have channces of gettong electronics for EEE course previous years cutoff goes 2600 and for ECE it goes 3553 so you have chances you should apply in its councelling

Of the various extra-curricular clubs in RIT, the most active ones  are :

• NSS(National Service Scheme) : The most active club, with various events happening throughout the year including Blood donation camp, Orphanage visits, Summer camp, etc etc.
• Drama Clubs : The drama clubs are also active thru out the year. Many teams have won accolades in inter-college events and fests. Apart from that RIT has its own annual drama event, Shoutout exclusively meant for skits, short films and documentaries.
• DebSoc : Debate society. Another active club of RIT. Has brought many laurels home.
• Chess : There are annual intra-college chess touramnets conducted (may be few). But these people have won many other tournaments.
• Dance : I haven't heard of any dancing society in RIT. However there are many extraordinary dance groups which has performed and won several competitions. All form of dance groups from Hip-hop to Bollywood to classical are there.
• Nature club : One of the various clubs of RIT. They go for trekking.
• Others are also there however I am not much aware of those.

With this I 'll leave it upto you to decide how the extra curricular clubs in RIT are.

Firstly MSRIT is an old institution with a very good reputation and in the recent ranking given by the MHRD department it secured 33rd place all over India. Leaving these statistics aside, MSRIT offers very good placement options for students of all branches and also offers an inducive environment if you plan to open a start-up.
MSRIT is also home to many research labs funded by companies like Honeywell. Also MSRIT faculties give a lot of support if you are into some co- curricular or sport activities.
Now coming to the second side of MSRIT, the campus is good but it cannot be compared to the campuses of any NIT. It does not have tie ups with any of the foreign institution.

All in all if you want a balance between your engineering degree and some fun MSRIT is the place for you!
