Yes, for taking admissions in Masters in social work you'll have to apply and appear for the entrance tests conducted by the universities. some of the popular colleges/universities for pursuing MSW are Jamia Millia Islamia and Delhi School of Social work under the University of Delhi.

MSW Entrance Exam Pattern

The paper for the MSW exam will contain questions of the objective category. The paper will carry a minimum of 100 marks. The negative marking system will be followed by the majority of the institutions. The questions will be from topics like:

  • Verbal Ability

To prepare well for your exam, you need to make proper stategies accordingly.

Here are few tips which you can follow to prepare well .

1. First of all understand the exam pattern and marking scheme.

2. Note down the syllabus with their weightage.

3. Set your target score and plan strategy accordingly.

4. At first, study the topics which can take less time to prepare and have more weightage.

5. Once you are done with the syllabus then start practicing questions.

6. Try solving previous years question papers which will help you to analyse yourself better.

7. Revise the topics on daily basis.

Lastly be confident and prepare well.

Hello,

For MSW course, you must have completed graduation from B.S.W. / BA degree with 50% aggregate of marks from a recognizable university.

There are few colleges which take entrance exam like Aligarh Muslim University(AMU) . Otherwise there is less colleges in India that takes entrance exam. In Some colleges you just have to pass the qualifying examinations and interview.

I want to know either YBN University provide specialisation in MSW course

YBN University is located in Ranchi (Jharkhand) . YBN University do offer Master of Social work (MSW) , which is a full time two years course. Any candidate who has passed Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university is eligible for the same.

As per you question, Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an all-India level entrance exam conducted jointly by 14 central universities for admission .

The Eligibility criteria for Masters in Social Work MSW are listed below.

Bachelors in Social Work with 50% marks minimum from recognised institutions.

Should have Humanities/ Social Science/Science and Management as subjects in Higher studies and Bachelor programs with 50% minimum in all subjects.

Entrance examination for respective institutions if required.
