MTech
Hi aspirant,
See in general there are no restrictions on choosing the branch for the mtech program irrespective of what branch you had in bachelor's degree. So yes you can do mtech from any branch after completing BTech but in some universities there are some prerequisites that are needed to be fulfilled. For example some top colleges give admission to only CSE, IT, ECE graduates in the master's program for CSE because they believe it will be difficult for a newcomer to understand the concepts involved in that topic without some prior knowledge.
Hope it helps!!
hello Aspirant ,
Yes you can do your mtech in aerospace engineering after completing your btech in polymer engineering .
The minimum qualification for admission to Mtech course is BE or B.Tech with at least 50% (60% for IITs) marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university and a minimum of 60% in class 10th and 12th. The preferred undergraduate courses, for admission to M.Tech Aerospace Engineering are B.Tech/BE in Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Avionics/ CSE/ ECE/ Mech/ EEE/ EIE/ polymer engineering. So, you can pursue it just check the norms of the respective university and work accordingly.
I hope that this will help.

Hello
To pursue M.Tech in IITs you must appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by an IIT each year. The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed B.E/ B.Tech to get admission to M.Tech. Candidates who are studying in final year and pre final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for GATE. GATE score is valid for 3 years. You need to score minimum cut off marks in order to qualify in GATE. Each year the cut off changes depending on total number of candidates appeared in a particular discipline, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. To check the list of institutes accepting GATE Score click on the link below
