There are currently three courses offered as part of integrated Mtech program which includes CSE in collaboration with Virtusa, software Engineering and CSE with specialization in Data science. Since you have a excellent rank and most of the candidates above you will be splited into three courses/ some will move to Chennai campus as well there is a high probability that a seat in category 1 for Software Engineering will be available for you.

It can't be guaranteed though as there are many tie ups at various ranks, but you will surely get it by second category.

Congratulations on getting such a wonderful rank by your performance in higher secondary examinations. See the fee category you will get depends upon the course you opt for. For example if you want to get a seat in core CSE your fee category will be 2. Similarly if you prefer some specializations your chances of getting lower fee category become better.

For example with the mentioned rank you will get CSE with specialization in Data science in category 2 at Vellore but at the same time you can get cse with specialization in business analytics in category 1 at Chennai.

Though you have a descent rank, It would be very difficult for you to find a seat at main campus of Vellore institute of technology in integrated Mtech program. Integrated Software Engineering, CSE with specialization in Data science and CSE has around 1200 seats combined. If you are lucky and the students ranked above you prefer Chennai campus for the courses offered there, then you might make it to integrated Mtech program (CSE with specialization in Data science) in second category.

Yes definitely you can go for MS in abroad even if you complete Integrated M.Tech from India because as far as my information there is no such rule of any Institution in abroad which does not allow the candidates to pursue MS in their institution for having integrated M.Tech degree.  As you are seeking admission in abroad so you have to appear for some tests as well like TOEFL, IELTS and one or two others whatever required by the foreign institution but for most of the institutions TOEFL and IELTS are compulsory exams for admission in abroad.

Dear candidate, it all depends on college from where you are pursuing and your interest. If you are pursuing integrated degree from any NIT/IIT/IIIT/BITS or any other good institute, then there is no problem. However, it is observed placements in integrated M Tech is less than B Tech and hence there admission cut off is also lower than B Tech program. If you are planning to pursue integrated degree from private college or any normal college, then you should think once more. You can pursue B Tech from such institutes and then you can give GATE, and pursue M Tech from any government college or good private college. However, it also depends on your interest. If you are pursuing integrated degree and later you realize, that you have no interest in this branch, then you will have no option to change in later stage. Integrated degree is tiring and hectic too.

JNTU and Osmania, both these universities are equally good, well- equipped, good infrastructure, faculty, and a good course curriculum.

If you look at the NIRF ranking set up by the Government of India, then JNTU stands at 42 and Osmania at 80.

The placement opportunities at both these colleges are equally good, and in the end it doesn't matter from which you pass out from, only the amount of knowledge you have gained matters the most which will help you in your career further.

You have got a descent rank but it would not be sufficient to fetch you a integrated Mtech seat in software engineering under category 1 at Vellore campus of VIT. You can possibly get it in  second category but chances of it are slim as seats are limited and mentioned course is most common choice in integrated program.

The best possible options are:

1. Integrated CSE at Vellore(1 or2)
2. Integrated CSE with specialization in Data science at Vellore(Category 1 most probably else in second category)
3. Integrated CSE at Chennai (category 1)
4. Integrated CSE with specialization in business system at Chennai(Category 1)

see electronics and communication engineering m.tech specialization are as follows

:

digital signal procession

rf and microwave engineering

Electronics Design and Technology

microelectronics and vlsi.

however above mentioned stream are core ece specializations and most of the iits and nits only allow students belongs to ece stream for admission.

you may go for embedded systems , since it is interdisciplinary stream and have application of electronics and programming.
