I got 416 rank in vit integrated mtech , will I get vit Vellore cse or software ( I got 97 percent in my PCM) pls tell I am very tensed about this

Aditya 17th Aug, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Congratulations on getting such a great rank. I assume you are talking about either CSE or IT, see there are descent chances of you getting a seat in the mentioned programs but the fee category will depend. If you wish to go with core CSE, the seat will be available in second category only but if you choose any specializations or IT you can most probably find a seat in first category.

Note- Your percentage will not be considered for any further process as now seat allotment will be completely based on the rank provided for integrated Mtech program.

Hope it helps!!

i got 703 rank in integrated mtech counciling can i get seat in vit vellore if yes in which catagory (1or2

Aditya 17th Aug, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Congratulations on getting such a wonderful rank by your performance in higher secondary examinations. See the fee category you will get depends upon the course you opt for. For example if you want to get a seat in core CSE your fee category will be 2/3. Similarly if you prefer some specializations your chances of getting lower fee category become better. If you are desiring a seat in computer science and engineering program then the chances are lower at Vellore campus however you will easily get other non core branches.

It would have been better although if you had mentioned the desired program. To know more about it visit

which would be better choice for better placements 1) btech cse in vit Ap 2) integrated mtech cse data science in vit velluru

Bhavesh gupta 16th Aug, 2021

Hello students

hope you are doing great. As per your query  ,I would glad to tell you that persuing single degrre btech from VIT Ap would be the better option because this decision will lands you with two advantages . As btech is quite long period of time , their is possibility you are not comfortable with college and plans to do master from some better college or you suddenly to make you mind to do job for some years . But with integarted courses you will be under restriction ,you will not get even bachelors degree unless and untill you complete the full course

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
