M.Tech food technology is a post-graduate degree having a duration of 2 years.
In this course ,Candidates are supposed to study of manufacturing, processing and preservation of food products. It also involves the study of the physical and chemical composition of food items,packaging and storing of food products. Quality analysis and mainting the hygiene of food products are the topics which are covered throughout the degree.

The salary varies from grade of Scientists. After completing M.Tech in Nanotechnology if you wish to join DRDO as Scientist then initial salary varies from Rs. 50,000 per month to Rs. 2,50,000 per month depending on the Scientist grade, experience and expertise. In DRDO there are also Technical Cadre and for that selection is based on DRDO CEPTAM. For this average salary will be around Rs. 30,000 per month.
To join DRDO after completion of M.Sc in Biotechnology you must have GATE score. Some times the selection is based on GATE score and interview. But now the selection is based on GATE score and Internal exam followed by Interview for Post of scientist.
