I m partial dropper of mht cet 2024 and attended a emgineering college under Mumbai university. Now in case if I got desired college then what should I do about gap certificate criteria which states "Person or I shouldnt have attended a college or university"

Nitin Kumar 20th Apr, 2024

There can be a conflict between being a partial dropper for MHT CET 2024 and the gap certificate criteria for some desired colleges.

Every college might have slightly different rules regarding gap certificates for partial droppers.  Look for the official admissions brochure or website of your desired colleges. Search for terms like "gap certificate", "partial dropper", or "previously enrolled" to see if they have any specific information.

If the information online isnot clear then reach out to the admission authorities of your desired colleges directly. Explain your situation as a partial dropper attending an engineering college under Mumbai University in 2023-2024 and inquire about their gap certificate requirements for your specific case. Their email address or phone number should be on the college website's admission section.

I am student of Engineering Institute which is affiliated to Mumbai University.. So I am currently studying in 2nd year of Engineering but I want to quit this course After second year Is it possible? and can I need to pay remaining 2 years fee to college

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 17th Aug, 2025

es, it is possible to quit your engineering course after the 2nd year in Mumbai University–affiliated colleges, but the rules depend on your college’s policies and admission bond/undertaking signed at the time of joining. In most private/self-financed colleges, students are required to sign a bond stating that if they leave midway, they must either pay the entire course fee or at least the remaining year’s fee. Some colleges strictly enforce this, while others only charge till the semester you studied. If you’re in a government/aided college, usually you only need to clear dues till the last semester attended, and no future fees are demanded. Best step would be to check your admission documents, fee refund rules (AICTE/UGC guidelines), and confirm directly with your college office. Many students have been allowed to exit without paying future years’ fees, but it varies by institution.

To change the medium of instruction from English to Hindi for your BED exam at Mumbai University, start by contacting the university administration. Clearly state your request and provide any necessary details, such as your student ID or enrollment number. They may ask you to submit supporting documents or fill  a form to follow your request, so make sure to do this properly. Follow up with the university to ensure that your request is processed in a timely manner. what if i fail in first semester, would i be allowed to attend and continue second semester, my college is affiliated with mumbai university??

Tanya Gupta 29th Jan, 2024

Hello,

This is a common confusion among first time college students. Yes, you will be allowed to attend the 2nd semester but only if you have failed in 1-2 subjects and there is passed or promoted in your semester 1 result. You will have to appear again for the exams next year when you will be in your semester 3. The semester 1 exams which you failed will be called back papers.

Hope this helps,

Thank you
