Hello Aspirant,
Since the corona lock down restrictions have been extended in Mumbai till January 31st , degree colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai (MU) are thinking about continuing with online classes for another semester. So may be after January , there might be an update regarding the reopening of colleges. Even if colleges reopen, they will function with only 50% of the students and nearly 30-40% of the classes or lectures will be conducted online. Therefore , keep your self updated with daily news and if you want any update regarding a particular college then , you must keep visiting their official website for timely notifications .
All the best
As per the recent advancements, there is speculation of the colleges being started in offline manner from January. As such Maharashtra Higher Education Minister, Mr. Uday Samant said that a decision whether the colleges will operate in offline mode (i.e start the colleges like earlier) will be mostly given on 20th January. Kindly keep updated with the advancement & announcements made by the state officials regarding the opening of colleges.
Thanks
Yes you can take a drop. But don't cancel your admission. If you don't give your 3rd and 4th semester then you are not passing but you can be promoted in 3rd year. But you have to clear your 3rd semester and 4th semester paper in 5th and 6th semester. And your college will be objection for this type of behavior you have to manage it. May they will call your parents for this. So whatever your decision is it, just think again and do accordingly.
All the best.
Kindly wait till 20th January for a decision if the college will be started in online or offline mode. As such a decision for reopening of colleges will be announced on 20th January by the state education ministry. Kindly wait till then to get a response if the second semester of MU affiliated colleges will be in online or offline mode.
Thanks.
