Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai
Hello Priya,
Based on your rank, and the previous cutoff trends, there may possibly be a chance for an upgrade. Usually, students with ranks in the range of 1500 to 3000 are admitted to NMIMS campuses. I am attaching a link for CLAT college predictor that will help you determine your options: https://law.careers360.com/clat-college-predictor
Hello Aspirant
Congratulations, as your hard work has paid of. As per your query, I would like you to know there are few chances for you getting in Kirit P Mehta School of Law. As you have got a good college you can pursue your studies in the same. Hope you find this answer useful. All the best.
Hi Priyal,
The cutoff list of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies was supposed to be out within the second week of July, so you'll have to wait a few more days. If your question remains unanswered or you have any more queries then feel free to ask.
From day 1 NMIMS starts sucking out money, - NMAT test fee, retake fee and for each take, NMIMS requires registration fee. 1 take= ~4000 (2000 exam fee + clg reg fee 1900)
You get a call, pay 1000 bucks for interview. On an average, a candidate gives 2 attempts so just for landing up for interview you’ll shed Rs. 9000/- .
For 2 years program, fees including living expenses totals to approx 22 - 23 lakhs. Living outside campus has huge disadvantage as there isn’t much of college experience in terms of peer interaction and self development.
Huge batch size of ~500 students makes it difficult for learning through direct/indirect interaction with faculties. If you are talented enough to stay in top 100, it’s good, but once you start sliding down, there isn’t much you can do.
Placement reports are highly inflated and people among top 100–150 get the package mentioned. Lower ranked students have to fight for getting average placements and a decent post.
With salary ranging from 8 LPA to 11 LPA ( In hand salary for students among lower 300 ranks), and a huge loan of 24 lakhs which will amount to more including your interest, you’ll find yourself in disaster land. Your per month salaray- best case scenario - 85000. Deduct monthly loan repayment - 40000. Finally you’ll be earning 45k for next 3 years or so.
Think wisely, choose wisely.
Hi Gautam,
I am afraid that with a score like yours, you would not be able to get a seat in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. Don't be disappointed. If your question remains unanswered or you have any more queries then feel free to ask.
Hope this helps!
Hello Prakher!
Comsidering your AIR in CLAT 2019 you may not get admissions in National law Universities since the cutoff and merits have been skyhigh this year.
Kirti P. Mehta School of law ( NMIMS )and NIRMA University are considered as one of the prestigious law imparting institutions. IThese are good options to consider after the top NLUs. They have highly professional and qualified faculy, student friendly environment and certainly good level of academics. They have active placements with average salary package as 8-10 lacs per annum.
Generally rank upto 4000 -5000 is good enough for admissions in both the Universities and if your rank is well within the range then getting admission here will not be tough.
For IPU Main campus i.e USLLS the probability for admission is 50%percent. You may or may not get a seat. Since the cutoff has been high and it is the first time IPU and affiliated colleges will offer admission on CLAT basis and not IPU CET, less can be predicted. But your rank is decent and it there are vacancies then you might land up there. Otherwise there are other good Colleges in IPU mentoned below where you can definitely expect a seat:
However these are predictions, there can be slight variations in the actual allotment.
All the best!
Hello Nidhi, At the orientation program, they'll introduce you to the dean and some of the teachers. Seniors will narrate their experience of the college and you will asked your personal details so that they can contact you for informing when the classes will happen. After the first day, classes are fixed. It is not compulsory to attend it, but it is advisable to attend it. For orientation go through the link mentioned below https://www.nmims.edu/students/new-students/orientation/
Hello Pankhuri Jaiswal,
Narsee Monjee Hyderabad gives good placements and it is said by the alumni that the college has a great and supportive placement team who try to provide 100% placements and also give suggestions about the career opportunities.
Hope this helps.
Hi Candidate! According to me Vivekananda institute is better than NMIMS. The facilities of faculties, infrastructure ,culture, academics, all things are well and good in comparison with NMIMS. And in case of placements also Vivekananda is better from NMIMS.
So I prefer you to choose Vivekananda rather than NMIMS.
Wish you all the best and choose your college wisely.
Thanks.
