Prachi Kumari 24th Nov, 2025

Hello,

If your date of birth is 01/01/2008 , you are not eligible for NDA 2, 2026 .

For NDA 2, 2026 , candidates must be born between 2 January 2007 and 1 January 2010 .
Since your date of birth is 1 January 2008 , you fall inside this range , so you are actually eligible.

NDA exam notification will release at what time IMU CET exam date will release at what time

Sakshi 17th Nov, 2025

The notification dates for both the NDA and IMU CET exams are released by their respective authorities, generally following a consistent annual schedule.

The UPSC releases the NDA notification twice a year:

  • NDA I: Notification usually releases in December/January (for the exam held in April).

  • NDA II: Notification usually releases in May (for the exam held in September).

The IMU CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) is typically held once a year for the July batch.

  • Notification/Application: Releases around March/April.

  • Exam Date: The exam is usually conducted in June.

Keep monitoring the official UPSC and IMU websites for exact dates, or check this page for updates: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/imu-cet-exam-dates

I also searched a lot about merchant Navy but here also am confuse and worried... Now plz suggest me what to do?

SEJAL JAIN 1st Nov, 2025

Hello Aspirant

It’s okay to feel lost right now. Many students go through this after 12th.
You had an interest in NDA, which means you have discipline and courage in you.
Even if you missed NDA, you can still join the defence later through CDS after graduation.
If you want a steady government job, SSC is a great option with strong career growth.
If you like technology and logical work, a B.Tech can open many career paths.
Take some time to understand what truly excites you: serving, studying, or solving.
You haven’t failed; you’re just finding your right direction. Your journey’s not over yet.

my dob is 27 may 2007 am i eligible for nda 2026

Sajal Trivedi 18th Oct, 2025

Hello aspirant,

You can take the NDA 2026 exam, yes.  Given that you were born on May 27, 2007, you are inside the UPSC's 2026 age restrictions for both NDA 1 and NDA 2.  Candidates must typically be born between July 2006 and July 2009 to be eligible for NDA 1, and between January 2007 and January 2010 to be eligible for NDA 2.  You are therefore qualified to apply for the NDA exam in 2026 because your age precisely matches the necessary requirements.

Thank you

I have eye sight corrected for -3.0 D with glasses. will i be eligible for army in NDA?

Jishan Mondal 5th Oct, 2025

Hello, This is a very important and specific question. Based on the current medical standards for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), a corrected eyesight of -3.0 D unfortunately makes you ineligible for the Army wing.

The Specific Eyesight Standards for NDA (Army Wing)

The armed forces have very strict visual standards, which are different for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. For the Army, the key limits are related to Myopia (nearsightedness) and Hypermetropia (farsightedness).

  1. Myopia (Nearsightedness) Limit: The maximum permissible refractive error is -2.5 D.
  2. Hypermetropia (Farsightedness) Limit: The maximum permissible error is +2.5 D.

Your Situation: Your spectacle power of -3.0 D is beyond the acceptable limit of -2.5 D for myopia.

I hope you found this information helpful.

Hi dear candidate,

You are eligible for NDA Air force and Navy wing even though you have subjects from two different marksheets but having qualified in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is all you need. Hence, you are eligible but also check other criteria as well like age, physical requirements etc.
