No, female candidates are not eligible to appear in NDA.Only male candidates are eligible.You can join Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Airforce after graduation.There are various exams such as CDS, AFCAT and INET so you after passing in graduation you can get in defence through various entries.
The education qualification required for a candidate to apply for Army Wing of NDA is 12th passed by State Education Board or a University and for Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA AND 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy 12th passed (Physics and Mathematics) by State

If you can do it your own than there is no coaching required.NDA consists of maths, gk, English and some basic knowledge.
For mathematics you can refer NCERT books and you would need a good practice .

The NDA 1st Examination was to be conducted on 19 April, 2020, but now it is being postponed due to the spread of Novel Coronavirus. There is no official notification till now, but the tentative date for conduction of this exam is 14 June, 2020.
