You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India.

• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Age - 16 ^1/2 to 19 ^1/2 years(at the time of commencement of course)
  • Nationality – Indian
  • Gender - Men and Women
  • Educational Qualifications - 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Appearing final year students can also eligible to apply.

You can choose any of PCMB or PCM. Choosing both maths and biology can be difficult to manage in PCMB so if you don't want to get into medical field then no need to go for PCMB, you can go for PCM and will be eligible for all the three i. e Army, Airforce & navy wing of NDA. So, take your time and then decide .

You get 2 hours and 30 minutes for each paper.

*SSB interview :- If you clear written examination then you will called for a 5 day SSB interview

A candidate who got recommended and is in the merit list will be given admission in the following course depending on the academy he/she got in to

• Army Cadets - B.Sc/ B.Sc (Computer)/ B.A (
• Naval Cadets - B. Tech Degree
• Air Force Cadets - B. Tech Degree /B.Sc/B.Sc (Computer)

So you cannot get in to Medical field through NDA. There are two ways you can serve in Defence in Medical Field after passing in 10+2

• AFMC MBBS Admission
• Indian Army B.Sc Nursing

The admission to MBBS in Armed Force Medical College and Admission to B.Sc Nursing in 7 Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) affiliated institutes is based on merit in NEET UG Entrance examination. SO you have to apply for NEET UG and apply for admission separately when the notification is released. To appear for NEET UG you must fulfill the following eligibility criteria

Education Eligibility Criteria

• You must have passed 10+2 with English, Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board.
• If you belong to general category you must score minimum 50% marks aggregate in Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together including practical and theory examination.
• For candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST it is minimum 40% aggregate marks in Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together including practical and theory examination.
• For candidates belonging to PWD category it is minimum 45% aggregate marks in Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together including practical and theory examination.

Age Criteria

• The minimum age must be 17 years as on December 31st in the year of admission.

You should fill the form for JEE Mains 1 just to observe the type of questions and not as a serious attempt , since you have your NDA on 10th April give your full attention to it and then from the next day or two start your JEE preparation .

Also you are a dropper so you must be having a pretty good idea about the paper and also good preparation this time , give your best on the JEE Mains 2 .
