At NEET application, by mistake we have chosen OBC NCL, and have given the minority certificate RD number. Now u am not able to rectify NEET application. Will i be able to choose General category during MBBS counselling ? How to solve this issue. Please explain.

lisa 21st Apr, 2025

Yes, it is possible to change your category from OBC-NCL to General during MBBS counseling, even if you initially applied under OBC-NCL in the NEET application. While you cannot change the category on the application itself after the correction window closes, you can typically do so during the counseling process itself, especially if you are no longer eligible for the OBC-NCL category.

I just want to know that if I get 200-300 marks in neet in Sc quota then for which course I should apply for government college?

Prachi Kumari 20th Apr, 2025

Hello,

With a score of 200-300 marks in NEET under the SC quota, you might be eligible for courses in government colleges, but the chances depend on the specific college and state. Generally, you may be able to apply for:

  1. BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) - Some government colleges may offer BDS at this score range.

  2. BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) - This is another option you can consider.

  3. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) - Ayurveda courses are often available with this score range.

  4. BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) - You might also be eligible for this course in some government colleges.

You can also use our NEET College Predictor Tool to predict which college you can get based on your scores.

Hope it helps !
