Namaskaar sir .i got 79 percentile in jee 2022 phase 1..OBC NCL...EXS ...any chance in NIT or IIIT...

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Jul, 2022

Hi

This difficult to predict as cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.

-----------) branch preference by different candidates

-----------) the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2021 for obc category  :-

------------------) National Institute of Technology, Manipur:-civil engineering :-  16470 obc rank

------------------) National Institute of Technology, Mizoram :- civil engineering :-  16651 obc

------------------) NIT, Raipur :- Bio Medical Engineering :- 17047 obc  rank

------------------) National Institute of Technology Agartala :- chemistry (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)):- 17842 obc rank

You can check the same at its official website for which link is given below:-

JOSAA 2021 cut off :- https://josaa.nic.in/Counseling/seatallotmentresult/currentorcr.aspx

So, to get a seat in NITs, you need at least around 16k - 17k obc rank, and for that you need at least around 93.5 percentile  as per past year trends

Thus,

  • with 79 percentile, chances for NITs is extremely low. Similarly, chances for IIITs is very low

Sir Im getting 61.04 marks in GATE XE. Should I apply to NITIE Mumbai. Also, what are the chances for me to get M.tech in Top IITs like IITM or Top NITs? and any other advice please mention. Thanks in Advance :)

Sree Student Expert 21st Feb, 2022

Dear student,

It is difficult to predict because you have not mentioned your Rank and without rank it will be tough to predict your chances of getting seat in Colleges.

GATE 2021 Cut-off for XE:

Highest score : 1000/ 1 000

Highest Marks : 90.33/100

Cut-off score : 37/100

But cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors.

To check previous year's cut-offs of GATE, go through below mentioned link.

I have scored 97.36 percentile in CAT 2021 with sectional (99/95/83) (VA/DI/QA) and I am from General engineering male category , what are my chances in getting a call from NITIE mumbai

keshav kumar 8th Feb, 2022

Hi,

Hope you are doing great.

Yes, you do hold a good chance of getting a call from NITIE. Because if we see the previous year's cut-off, we get to know that the cut-off usually varies from 96-97 percentile. But for shortlisting the candidates for the GDPI process academic performance and diversity( whether it is gender or academic) also come into the picture. So, let's just hope for the best.

If you want to predict the names of the colleges that you can get at this score you can click on the link given below.

Hope this helps

I am lying in 3rd special drive merit list under rajdhani college at 15 no out of 16 students even the vacant seats are only 11 in b.com hons... So all about it I want ask you is there any further chance that i enroll in rajdhani college.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 10th Dec, 2021

See you have moderate chances till now to get a seat in the Rajdhani College. Now if you don't get a chance in this list also or if you find that the vacant seats are going to filled up then I would recommend you to go for any other colleges. Now if you want to join Rajdhani College then you can take admission for MCOM course as well after BCOM from any other college but getting a chance in BCOM as per the scenario you have mentioned there are moderate chances for you to get a seat.

To know more about Rajdhani College visit the link below:

To know more about BCOM as a career, visit the link below:

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

I have scored 86.11 percentile in cat and education background is 95/79.17/78.75 (10th/12th/grad). Should I apply for Nitie PGDSM program or not as I am a GEM .

ayanmukherjee045 11th Jan, 2022

Dear aspirant,

As you have secured 86 percentile in cat and considering your education background let me tell you that nitie is one of the top colleges and cracking that is not easy .

Considering you as a general category candidate you need atleast 95+ percentile to crack nitie. However interview will also play a vital role after getting a good percentile in cat.

I have secured 83%le , VARC -42%, DILR -98%, QA- 74% , NC-OBC, Can I expect call from NITIE?

ayanmukherjee045 3rd Jan, 2022

Dear aspirant,

As you have secured 83 percentile and considering you are from.obc category let me tell you that it's very difficult in this percentile to get a call from nitie because the cut offs are higher.

Generally, for general category atleast 97+ is needed to get a call and for obc atleast 90+ is needed to get a call . Note this is not the cut off but this score is mandatory to get a call from nitie.

However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
