National Institute of Technology Agartala
Hello!
The first statement is partly correct. Even if NIT Agartala is situated in a remote area, it does not mean that the area won't develop in the near future. With a premier institution in that remote area, development is must to take place within years. And big companies do come NIT Agartala for placements. Core companies and PSUs visit the campus to conduct placements. The placement statistics are getting better every year in NIT Agartala. In 2019, the placements concluded with 90% record. In total, 22 companies visited the campus for recruitment. The highest salary package offered was Rs 36 LPA and the average salary package offered was between Rs 4.5-5 LPA.

The second statement of yours is true NIT Andhra Pradesh will experience a lot of development too and faster than NIT Agartala. Placements are going good and almost all students are placed in good MNCs as it is situated in a big city. Right through the establishment of the college, The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) became an active functional unit of the college. The college is working too hard to train their students so that they can survive in the cut-throat competitive market. The highest salary package offered last years was 13 LPA.

Generally NIT AP has a higher cutoff, so if you are getting NIT Agartala anyway, you must go for it. Rejecting any of these NITs is not a wise decision. As per my opinion, NIT AP will be a good decision as per the development factor but NIT Agartala is much better in terms of placement record.
All the best!
Hello debayansen.ds.ds,
Well, as per the previous year's trend and comparing it to current year's jossa stats:
there is very low chance of you getting ECE (in 2019 josaa last round closing rank was 167441and this year it is 113082 so a drop is seen and so will be in csab), previous year CSAB closing rank for ECE was 167441 and chances are for a drop in this year too!, so definitely there is very less chance for you...
Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any further query...

Hey lakshmi, in either of the NITs you are getting ECE as your core subject. As per my perspective, taking a dual degree is a cherry on the cake for it will save an year as well in the long run. In nit Hamirpur, top recruting companies are Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys etc. The highest salary package offered in our course is 9LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5.5 LPA. Around 95% of the students got internships mostly in power plants in India. Placement record of nit Agartala is also great. The average package is of 5.5LPA and highest package was 17lpa. So if you want to pursue masters cum bachelor degree go for integrated course otherwise only bachelor's program is also good. Choose accordingly. All the best.
Hi, as per me E&I in NIT Agartala is a better option than ece in NERIST. The placement in ece are not upto the mark. Some of the current occasional recruiters are like Tech Mahindra, Power Grid Cooperation of India, Oil India, Wipro, TCS, Cummin India, Asahi Glass, Infosys, and some other regional companies.
Looking at the placement of NIT Agartala, it has great placement records. Last year around 22 companies visited the campus. The highest salary package offered was Rs 36 LPA and the average salary package offered was between Rs 4.5-5 LPA. Infosys emerged to be the star recruiter with 69 job offers. Top companies such as Accenture, IBM, McAfee, Google and Morgan Stanley visited the campus this year for recruitment.
So I would say NIT Agartala is better. Rest you can choose accordingly.

If you wish to participate in subsequent rounds of up gradation, you can do so even after get a seat. There after, two possibilities are there:
1. You will get your preferred college of choice and you will then be upgraded. You fees will be adjusted accordingly and your documents will also be transferred.
2. If unfortunately you do not get a college, the seat in your previous institute will be there
If you are interested in a career in research, integrated M.Sc. in Physics at NIT Rourkela might prove to be a very good choice. NIT Rourkela is one of the best old technical Institutes of India with excellent infrastructure, faculty and research facilities. As far as the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Departmenrs are concerned most of the students prepare for GRE and GATE and move abroad or to higher technical insititutes like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore for their Doctoral Education.
However you should not expect placements from Physics Department in professional research sector. Most of the Companies like Log9Materials, Intel, TCS Innovation demand a doctoral degree.
There are a couple of Technical Institutions and Coaching Organizations like FIITJEE, Byjus, Vedantu and Sri Chaitanya which recruit M.Sc. Graduates but they are less preferred opportunities.
Of course you can develop new skills and master new technologies like AI, Software and Data Science and NIT Rourkela being an Old Insititute you may find a sea of opportunities from Amazon and PayTM to Flipkart and Honeywell in the Non Core Sector ranging from Software to Management.
Dear Candidate,
