National Institute of Technology Agartala
Hello,
If you are enquiring about JoSAA counselling for admission through JEE Main score then last year the cut off in round 6 of counselling to get admission in to National Institute of Technology Durgapur in Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science) was 11093 for EWS category under home state quota. And the cut off to get admission in to National Institute of Technology Agartala in Physics (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)) was 8216 for EWS category under other state category. Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in the preferred course in the preferred institutes.
With the given rank it is quite difficult to get seat in any NIT/IIIT/GFTI. However, you can apply for state counselling based on the JEE Main score. The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To get your certificates back you may have to pay the tuition fee of that academic year or entire course fee if you leave the course in the middle of the duration of the course. It is subjected to the rules and regulations of the institute. We would suggest you to contact the administration department of the institute and enquire regarding the same. They shall assist you in this regard by providing the details of the procedure to discontinue the course.
If you have passed 12th from Tripura, then MAY BE YES… You may not get the more preferred branches like CSE, ECE, MECHANICAL etc., but you may get some of the branches which are less preferred. Through homestate quota, people get into their respective state NITs even without clearing cut offs ( I have seen cases). But if you are not eligible for state quota (not passed 12th from tripura) its a sure no… Hope you belong to first category… :-)
Best wishes
With a Rank of 97k in JEE Main, being from General Category, Female Quota and Tripura Home State, you have strong chances in securing not only ECE, but even CSE at NIT Agartala under Home State Quota.

Hi,
Following are some statistics of both Institutes:
Overall DTU have around 75% placements on campus. But, for Biotechnology there are not many core Companies that visits DTU. Only few Companies like Ranbaxy or Mankind visits Campus. So placements for biotechnology are not that good iin DTU as it is in CSE . While on other hand, NIT Agartala has less placement statistics than DTU but for ECE the placement in NIT Agartala is better than Bio-Tech in DTU. Around 90% students get placed in ECE with Average package of around 7 Lakh and Highest of around 15 Lakh.
So based on these factors, ECE at NIT Agartala seems better choice than BioTech in DTU.
I hope this will answer your query.

It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-
******number of students that appeared in the jee main exam,
****** number of available seats,
****** performance of different students in the examination,
****** the category you belong etc.
When we go through previous year trend then
>>>>> With 7400 obc rank

For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020,
--------) Under other state , NIT Agartala cut off/closing rank for computer science for obc category for gender neutral was 5828 obc rank
For computer science,
You have chances in nits like

-----------) National Institute of Technology, Manipur:- computer science:-8349 obc rank
----------) NIT Mizoram :- cse :- 9343 obc rank

Hello, you can select any institute between the two you have suggested. Both of them are well reputed and well known. You can select based on your preference of course. Btech Biotechnology will be based on biology related subjects while the Btech in chemical is related towards the chemical engineering. All the best.
Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have secured 17k rank in JEE mains so I would recommend you to take up cse branch in iiit kota because if you are looking into placements.
Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
For more information you can check out the link given below-
Hello there, aspirant.
This score is insufficient to gain admission to NIT in the General Category. You can seek state-level counselling. If you provide your All India Rank and the state in which you desire to enrol, I can better advise you on your admission options.
You can also use the JEE Main College Predictor tool to figure out your chances of getting into a state university.
