National Institute of Technology Calicut
Hello student,
Yes you can surely keep pan card for document verification as its a valid government verified document. However, also have a look at what the college is asking for during the admission process as different colleges have different need of documents for verification.
I hope this helps, All the Best!
Hello,
As you know NIT calicut is a nation institution having a NIRF ranking below 50 , While TKMCE ( KARICODE ) has a NIRF RANKING about 200 , you should choose according to passion and interest of the subject
I can assure you that , TKMCE has got a good environment to study and you will get good internal marks, all the faculties are supportive and completes the portion within time unlike many government colleges , TKMCE CS is a very decorated branch and you should have a rank below 1000 in keam to assure a sear there.
Placements of TKMCE is also very good even IBM has recruited this year some students , NIT calicut also has very good placement
My opinion is both the colleges are very good choose which branch to go, if you study in NITS or IITS you will have a tag of it which government colleges cannot provide
Hope this helps you
Best wishes for your future
Last year a candidate with rank 418 belonging to OBC-NCL category (other state) secured admission in to National Institute of Technology Calicut in B.Architecture in round 6 of JoSAA counselling. Considering the previous year cut off you have decent chances to get seat in National Institute of Technology, Calicut. But cut off depends on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. So it may increase or decrease this year based on above mentioned factors.
To check the previous year cut off use the link given below

Hello Aswin,
Based on your JEE Rank, there are no chances for you to get a seat in NIT Calicut. This is the prediction which I could say by checking the previous year cutoffs. Though you have a SC Reservation that is not sufficient to help you out to get a seat in National Institute of Technology, Calicut.
Factors that determine the Cutoff are :

Hope this helps....
Last year in round 6 of JoSAA counselling the cut off was follows for OBC-NCL (Other state) category to get seat in B.Arch
Considering this you have chances to get seat in NIT Calicut but you may not get seat in NIT Trichy. Also the cut off is as follows for the institutes that you have selected for choice filling
Based on the cut off you have chances to get seat in SPA Vijayawada and NIT Rourkela besides MNIT Jaipur in which you have already secured seat allocation.
Cut off depends on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. So it may increase or decrease this year based on above mentioned factors.
To get your certificates back you may have to pay the tuition fee of that academic year or entire course fee if you leave the course in the middle of the duration of the course. It is subjected to the rules and regulations of the institute. We would suggest you to contact the administration department of the institute and enquire regarding the same. They shall assist you in this regard by providing the details of the procedure to discontinue the course.
Hi,
The Job priority depends on the skill of the students. Institute do make some differences but at last skill of the student is considered while offering job to someone. However the placement of NIT Calicut is better than CET Trivandrum. NIT Calicut has average package of 10.75 Lakh while CET Trivandrum has average package of around 4 Lakh.
I hope this will answer your query.
Good Luck!!!!
Both the colleges stand good on the the factors below:
The branches you are getting are also good core branches wide wide career options, will provide a brief overview about both.
Civil Engineering is more concerned with structures, construction management, resource conservation and material studies.
Mechanical engineering on the other hand comprises all sorts of machinery, automations, materials and heat and mass transfer.
I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.
Good luck, hope it helps!!

Go for Electrical at NIT Surathkal. The Academic and Employer Outlook of NIT Karnataka, Trichy and Warangal are a notch ahead of NIT Calicut, Allahabad, Rourkela and other good NITs. Secondly Electrical is a nice branch, with excellent career scope and prospects across PSUs, Private Sector, Research and Opportunities.
Hello aspirant
hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query, I would glad inform you that both the colleges are quite awesome and no difference in placement side very much . Mostly I recommend everyone that choose college over branch but in your case I will advise to go for NIT calicut in ece branch because in ece branch you will get good coding enviroment as compare to NIT suratkal
Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future
