Hello,
Last year the cut off rank for admission to Architecture in round 6 was as follows for ST category under other state quota for the preferred NITs
Considering the previous year cut off you need to secure a rank (category rank) around 65. To secure such rank you need to score minimum 98-99 percentile or above in JEE Main. Cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

With 98.42 Percentile in JEE Main, your CRL will be anywhere between 17-18k, with an estimated EWS Rank around 3.5k. At this EWS Rank, you have moderate to fair chances in securing ECE at NIT Patna, NIT Agartala, NIT Puducherry and NIT Andhra Pradesh (Home State), Many IIITs like Kota, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Pune as well as at Top GFTIs like PEC Chandigarh, BIT Mesra and IIEST Shibpur, all of which have excellent academics and placements as far as ECE is concerned.

Hi, since you have got 96.68 percentile which is good in JEE Mains so according to your question you can easily get NIT, Calicut. But you may get to face some problems while selecting branch as it is possible that you won't get Computer Science or Information Technology branch but rest you can get easily.
All the best.
Thank You.
Hi Aspirant,
As you got 87.76 percentile in JEE mains, your expected rank will be 125215 - 140760. The previous years cut-off ranks for NIT Calicut in ECE stream under EWS category is 36406. Although the cut-off ranks will changes every year, the difference wouldn't be more comparitively ( may varies around 20000).
Here your expected is much farther than previous cut-off rank. So from my personal aspect this would be hard to get admission in NIT Calicut.
To know the possibile college admissions you will get based on your JEE rank in your desired branch, use our JEE college predictor tool:

Hi

your rank will be around 368280 - 414000 as per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Your st rank will be around 10k
It's quite to make prediction but when we go through previous year trend then
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, last rank for gender-neutral for st category in NIT Calicut was for Bio Technology (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) which is given below:-
Home state :- 16983 st rank
Other state :- 289 st rank
So, with your rank you have chance only if you have home state quota
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Under other state quota,
You need at least a rank of around 3500 st rank to get into even lower NITs in lower branches like Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering in Nit Agartala i. e tleast around 81 percentile.
