Placement in material science is not so good in today's industry. I guess you must wait for the next round of seat allotment or take a better stream in other nits. Stream choice is an important part. So choose it carefully. As for higher studies you can do mtech

Since your obc rank in nimcet is 533 ,which is quite enough for getting admission in many NITs 

Look we cannot predict anything about 2019 cutoff by analysing 2018 cutoff we can get a clear idea about our admission in the above mentioned NITs

National Institute Of Technology (NIT), calicut has many facilities like gym, swimming pool, open-air theatre, auditorium and other outdoor sports.

Guest room facilities are available in each hostel for relatives of students. Both A/C and non A/C rooms are available.
