IITs and NITs exempted 12th standard results for this year and they are saying that this is only one time applicable. Then what will happen to the students who are going to drop this year and appear for JEE MAIN 2021?

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 31st Aug, 2020
Hello
Exemption of  examination of class 12th result by IIT and NIT is one time applicable, this thing is still not decided they are expected to switch on the previous concept but this is not confirm yet, even if you are 2020 passed out (class 12th) then exactly  you would have same benefits after your drop year, because your covid-19 promotion marksheet designate same promotion concept for you too.
Best of luck.

I got N/A in maths in HS 2020 by 1 mark. My JEE MAIN January 2020 score was 210/300 and percentile was 75.6. Is there any chance of me getting into any NITs as the Institutes announced that students only need to pass the 12th standard examination irrespective of marks obtained.

Sohamsengupta8 21st Aug, 2020

Hello student,

Actually you have not clear whether you get passed in 10 + 2 level or not. As you get failed in mathematics, it may be a problem for you in future in this engineering career.

But as per the official notice if you have passing certificate of 10 + 2 level you can get chance in NIT.

What is Minimum Parcentile I Need to Go in Any NITs?

saurabhkhade4699 19th Aug, 2020

Hello Yagnik,

Belonging to OBC category, your expected cut-off is around 75/360 in JEE Mains and around 32% in JEE Advanced. But always remember that only clearing the cut-off is not enough for you to get a seat. You must score atleast around 100 in Mains along with decent %age in boards(greater than or equal to 90%) .

Can I get into a good NIT with 210/300 in jee mains. But I failed in maths by 1 mark in 12th boards.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 10th Aug, 2020

Hello,

With such score the percentile will be around 99 which is a decent percentile and you will have good chances of getting seat in a top NIT. This year the minimum percentage requirement is scrapped off to get admission in NIT and IIT. You need to pass 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. You need to obtain a passing certificate to get admission, other wise you cannot get admission even if you have decent percentile. You need to appear in supplementary exam or apply for re-evaluation and obtain your result by the time counselling starts.

i am general pwd candidate.how many PR require in jee main to get admission computer science branch in svnit surat ?

Soumili Majumdar 20th Jun, 2020
Hello there,
Since you are from the PWD category, your cut-off percentile is lower than the other categories. You can easily get admission for CSE in SVNIT with a good score. 70-80 percentile will be enough for getting admission into any good engineering college.
Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

Though its a silly one...but do the NITs provide bicycles to its students to facilitate them in moving from one part of the campus to another...someone just said me this...I dont think they do, do they?

Udit Narayan 30th May, 2020

Hello,

Yes they do provide bicycles to its students to facilitate them in moving from one campus to another but you have to keep in mind that this is not provided to each student separately, there are few cycles present in the hostels of the NIT and you can take the permission from the warden and use them for your work and by end of the have to return it back to them.

I hope I have cleared your doubt.

Hello Aspirant,

Candidates allotted a seat in the first round must pay the seat acceptance fee (through SBI e-Challan/SBI NetBanking/SBI debit cards) and get the documents verified at any reporting center (josaa.nic.in) for provisional seat acceptance .If they are not doing this they won't be eligible for further rounds.
