Which is better for CSE - NSIT, DTU, IIITD or NITD

harshita_1558773432 Student Expert 28th May, 2019

Hey Sunil

It all depends on you .All three are amazing colleges but have a really different set of pros and cons. DTU and NSIT are more established and well known . On the other hand IIiT Delhi is a never establishment and has a little different environment as compare to NSIT/ DTU

IIIT Delhi is a research oriented college and is too good at academic so if you want to be true engineers then go for it. If you want a big brand name and a huge campus then NSIT or DTU is a better option . Speaking about the placement DTU and NSIT have highest packages offered but when it comes to the percentage placement IIIT delhi leads them

Hope this helps!

My son score 74.6% what nit durgapur allow for admission only 2 mark less to 75%

Aman Kumar 12th Jul, 2019

Hello Sir,

I would like to inform you that it is mandatory for General and OBC-NCL category students to get either 75% or be in top 20% percentile in class 12th board exams for getting admission NIT Durgapur.
It is very difficult to expect any compromise in these cutoffs, no matter how less the margin is.But never lose hope there are many other good private colleges where your son can take admission.

Hope I have made my self clear.

Best of Luck!

West bengal general male 89.04%tile 123k board 84.6% . Will i get mechsnical in nit durgapur in home state quota

Adarsh Verma 25th May, 2019
Hello,
With a rank of 123k, it seems difficult to get Mechanical branch in NIT Durgapur according to last year's closing ranks. Last year, closing rank for mechanical branch in the 7th round was 25931 for home state general category students. Though, it is tough to get NIT Durgapur at this rank, you may opt for mechanical branch in any other engineering colleges.
Good luck!

Which rank from home state is required for OBC to get nit durgapur Information Technology ??

Adarsh Verma 25th May, 2019
Hey Aritra,
First of all, I would like to inform you that there in no more Information Technology (IT) branch in NIT Durgapur. From the session 2018-19, IT has been merged with CSE and hence, not only CSE exists and no IT. Last year, in the 7th round, closing OBC-NCL home state rank for CSE was 19569. You can even get CSE branch in special rounds if you have around 22k OBC-NCL rank according to last year's allotment. Slight differences can be there this year.
Good luck!

Hi,I am from gen-cat with jee main crl rank 48440.home state -West bengal.

Kumari Ankita 25th May, 2019

Hello,

According to 2018 cutoffs of NIT Durgapur, you may not get any seat at NIT Durgapur but you can certainly get a seat in few other NITs and IIITs based on your JEE Mains rank.

At IIIT Bhubaneswar, you can get Electrical and electronics engineering. You can also get Information technology engineering as per 2018 cutoffs of IIIT Bhubaneswar.

According to 2018 cutoffs of JEE Mains, you can also get Chemical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgy and materials engineering at NIT Srinagar.

Please note that this is just a prediction based on cutoffs. Cutoffs can vary based on factors like number of seats available, difficulty level of paper etc.

I hope this helps. For any further queries, ask me in the comments.

Dear aspirant,
As both the NIT's are good .
But the NIT kurukshetra is best for thermal engineering in terms of faculty and placement records.
Placements are good for mechanical students here.and the placement rate is also increasing every year here. You can go for NIT Kurukshetra .
Thank you
Hope it helps.
