Hello dear
Well, choosing between the two to a larger extent depends on your field of interest. If you are interested in deep coding stuff, then go for cse, or if you fantasize machines, go for mechanical then. Or if you have a neutral perspective, then go for mechanical at NIT Goa, the reason being-NIT Goa has a better rank than the other option( AAAA- NIT Goa's rank, AAA+ - NIT AP, these ranks have been given by Careers360). NIT AP is a new NIT, thus it is at its developing stage, so it is quite obvious that you will have better plcement statistics at NIT Goa( alumni plays a role here). Moreover, even if you take mechanical, you could learn coding and programming and data structures all by yourself, there's no kind of branch restriction when it comes to placements, you can sit for non- core company interviews as well. And simultaneously you have the knowledge of mechanical field as well. Just this would require a little bit of extra effort. Also, it won't be a great campus life at NIT Andhra Pradesh( on it's way to make it better).I hope this helps you. Choose wisely based on what you prefer. Ask any other doubts if you have.Good luck!!
Hello Raghav,
You have some good score but i am afraid that you might not be able to secure a seat in any branch of NIT Goa if you do not have Goa as your domicile.
The cutoff rank for previous years is quite lower compared to your rank. So it may not be possible for you to secure a seat.
You can check the cutoffs of various NITs using below provided link.

Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
We have seen the ratings for NIT Goa,it's 3.4/5.It's one of the top centrally funded institute of India.
It offers median package from 4.8-6 lakhs.Infrastructure reviews are not so good .
Very low chances as you have less grades on your boards but if domicile seats are there then you will definetely get into it
You can definitely get ECE in NIT Goa as their closing rank for general category students lie somewhere near 7500. So considering that you fall in OBC category you have high chances of getting into the college. Moreover you have a pretty decent rank so you can check out other NITs also like Durgapur or Jamshedpur.
Good luck
