National Institute of Technology Hamirpur
Hey Apoorva ,Greetings!
The state quota reservation is same for all the 30 NITs.
The name home state quota is self-explanatory. There's 50% reservation for the home state students, where the NIT is situated, irrespective of your board. The state, you belong to or a resident of, doesn't come into picture.
For example, I'm from Odisha. But if I take my boards in Tamilnadu, I'll be eligible to join NITT and not NIT, Rourkela, under home state quota.Good Luck ! You can reply to this comment if you have any further queries , I will be happy to help .
Chances are less
You can try with other non core branch combination and home state you can able to get admission in NITs but seriously chances are less.
You can go for government (state) university to get admission in whatsoever branch you want.
Thanks for consulting with careers360
Hello,
If your aim is just placement then go for VIT VELLORE , but if you want to have an NIT tag join NITH. NitH and Vit are nearly the same in terms of study and reputation, one is a government clg and other a private. Placement in NITH is also good in no.s but in VIT the placement chances are quite high so you can choose according to your choice
Hi,
Offcourse NIT hamirpur will be best choice. Just go for it.
Thank you
Please mention the exam you've given to assist you. As NIT 'S are very difficult place to get admitted in.Details are required to provide you with proper assistance.
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly
