NIT Jamshedpur is lot better than NIT surat as Since , NIT Jamshedpur is one of the oldest colleges in the city, placements are really good. Almost most of the students get placements easily. NIT Jamshedpur has an overall satisfactory infrastructure and hostels are excellent and the new academic block is also under construction. The teaching and teachers are good and the campus is really peaceful. So overall I would recommend you NIT Jamshedpur.

Cse and ece are the top branches.both have the same preference and same competition.in both the nits cse and ece have equal preference .in present ece competition is growing .in any of them you can join .both are same so you can join in which you are interested

Before I give my answer, you should keep something in mind that this is just my opinion. Each NIT is relatively the same in comparison to the others, the differences are tiny. However, In terms of placement, NIT Kurukshetra has a better track record than NIT Jamshedpur.
