National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur
Hi,
The chances of getting a seat in nits depend on your rank obtained in jee main exam.
Though it is difficult to predict actual rank or JEE advanced qualify marks. your expected rank can be calculated by using the formula
100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 869010 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam.
So rank formula is
(100 - 97.78) X 869010 /100.
So using above formula your expected overall rank would be around 19,292.
If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be around (100 - 97.78) X 1200000/100 that is 26,640
The seat which you would expect to get depend on many factors like number of candidate applied, category, difficulty level of exam etc.etc.it varies from year to year.
You can check the previous years cutoff with rank from the link to have more comprehensive idea.

Your EWS category rank would be different than the overall rank. The previous years trends shows that there are decent chances that you can get a seat at nit Jamshedpur.
You can check the college predictor link to check other colleges for you can expect admission

Hope this helps. All the best.
Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 53009. Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.
In 2019, the cut offs for NIT Jamshedpur, for female OBC Home State Candidate have been as follows:
Civil Engineering: 16612
CSE: 8148
Electrical: 12083
ECE: 11607
ME: 14011
Metallurgical: 16769
Production: 15011
Now these are 2019 cut offs and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as Total no. of seats available, difficulty of the exam, previous years trends, no. of Candidates appearing for the exam and no. of Candidates applying for a course. So anything less than 95 percentile would be difficult for a seat in Home State NIT. HELLO KUNWAR;
congratulations for your result and qualifying JEE MAINS;
Your expected rank according to your present percentile of january attempt comes out to be 19465. it is difficult to calculate the exact. This rank might change depending on the no of candidates appearing the april based exam.
ill give you the possibilities based on previous year cutoffs of both home as well as other state for EWS category
2019;
2018: (general cateogery) since ews cat was introduced in 2019
as you can see that this percentile is not sufficient to get into this institute. BUt do not worry you still have your april attempt left and jee advance too you might get into IIT so do not lose hope at all.
If you are curious to know about which college you might land into with this percentile then we have a software called as college predictor which will tell you the college based on your percentile,category, etc the li8nk is given down below;
BEST OF LUCK FOR APRIL AND ADVANCE!!!
Scoring 94.33 in JEE Mains is appreciable but that percentile may not be sufficient to get admitted in NIT Jamshedpur though you belong to OBC category. You need to score 97 and above percentile to get seat.
Wishing you a good luck!
