Which is better for placements Mech at NIT Calicut or ECE at NIT Jamshedpur?

athira_1490858591 Student Expert 19th Aug, 2019

Hi Ravi,

You must always choose the stream of your interest first over the college. So firstly decide whether you're more inclined to Mech or Electronics, you probably have to spend the rest of your life in the field. If you're still confused, you need to see the college reputation. Both are excellent and old institutions. Placement wise Jamshedpur is a little better and so is ECE with more job opportunities. However, NIT Calicut is no far behind. So choose wisely based on your priorities.

All the best

Nit raipur civil vs nit jamshedpur civil

kartikjain2548 Student Expert 26th Jul, 2019

Hello,

NIT Jamshedpur ranks above NIT Raipur in many aspects. And speaking about civil Engineering branch you must choose NIT Jamshedpur. Because the placements here are better than NIT Raipur. There is around 55-60% placements which is almost same in all NIT'S. Companies like L&T visit the campus. And all the other facalities for civil engineering branch are also good.

Hope it helps.

What are the drawbacks of nit. Jamshedpur

Sourav Sarkar Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019

Hi dear,

Hope you are doing well!

Now let's go through your question.

Though every engineering college including IITs and NITS have drawbacks like poor student-teacher ratio, male-female ratio, poor mess reservations etc.

Exposure is a great problem in NIT-JSR. People do what their seniors do and the seniors did what their seniors did. No one wants to do something new. No one does anything worthwhile. People are afraid to explore. People are happy with their lives and they don't work hard to grow more.

Infrastructure is not upto the mark. Same is the case with labs. But hostels are still way better than most of the NITs and IITs.

Other than this it is a good college.

Thank You All the best!

Nit kurukshetra production eng. Vs nit jalndhar production eng. Vs nit jamshedpur production eng. Tell me best priority order

Yash Dev Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019

Nit jamshedpur is good option. Some of the mass recruiters like TCS, Infy, Wipro, etc will allow all the M.Tech grads irrespective of the branches. Finally, Some universities will also visit the campus especially to recruit M.Tech grads for the faculty position with a decent salary. So, the bottom line is that NITs do have good placements for M.Tech,

Feel free to comment if you have any doubt

Good luck

Nit jalandhar production eng. Vs nit jamshedpur production eng.

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 18th Jul, 2019

Both are equally good but if you are targeting industries like automobile or steel then NIT Jamshedpur would be a better option because companies like Maruti Suzuki, Ashok Leyland  Tata Steel, Honda and others do visit there.

But for NIT Jalandhar these companies don't visit there every year. But other companies do visit and you can definitely get a job from both these colleges.

All the very best

I got nit jamshedpur ece in 7th round now I want to participate for spl rounds. Is it mandatory to report at nit for participating in

Jeeukrishnan kayshyap 22nd Jul, 2019

You  have to go to NIT Jameshdpur to accept your seat and take participate in CSAB special round in specific duration. If you have failed to do so then they are not eligible to participate in Special round. So it is mandatory to report if you want to register for special round. But keep in mind that if you get a seat in CSAB special round you have to take that seat , its a must condition. Otherwise you will be college less. Its necessary to take the seat alloted in special round.BEST of luck!!
