For mechanical you will find it hard as the closing cutoff for mechanical is almost around 8k for the past two years. Moreover, there are no seats available till special round in spot round last year for mechanical.

However, you can hope for Electrical & Electronics engineering in special rounds provided that seats are available till then.

Yes, If you are satisfied by your branch then I would surely recommend you to freeze your seat because it would be the last round for JOSAA. You have to freeze your seat and not leave it on float. Although you can go for special rounds of counseling which will be held later you may no be able to get this seat.

So just go and freeze your seat.

YES, fee remission system will be applicable in NIT Jamshedpur this year as well.

Full remission of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC candidates whose family income is less than Rs.1 Lakh per annum.

Remission of 2/3rd of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC candidates whose family income is between Rs.1 Lakh to Rs.5 Lakh per annum.

If your family income is less than Rs 1lakh, then there would be full tuition fee remission.

If your family income is between Rs 5lakh and Rs 1lakh, then there would be two-third tuition fee remission.

With this rank getting a seat in NIT Jamshedpur will be difficult in round 5, however, you might be able to get a seat till the last round but still getting a good branch will still be difficult. Your seat allotment will also depend on the fact that how you have filled in your choices as you might be alloted a seat of higher preference than NIT Jamshedpur. Hope this helps.

BIT SINDRI has changed a lot and continuously improving its quality so many students have confusion between nit Jamshedpur and bit Sindri. So honestly metallurgy of both the colleges are good in terms of placements also. Metallurgy in nit sindri has 100% placements and in nit Jamshedpur also placement in metallurgy is very good as very few colleges in India has metallurgy. So if you want a nit tag then go for nit Jamshedpur. But if you are interested in mechanical then do join bit sindri.

Date of registration will be mention in your I'd after your seat allotment.So keep visiting official site.After each round registration process will be happen if your get your interested seat then you will receive notification so don't bother about it..

Generally the reporting date for the first year students is in the last week of July or first week of August. Donot worry, the college will release the official notification a week or two prior to the reporting date for shifting into the hostels, and then after the classes will begin.
