Good Luck for your future!!
See there are no such cases that a girl can't take any branch or there are no such fields which are labeled for boys only. So you and you should choose the subject you like. Now from a placement and a job perspective its better to go for IT because in most of the core fields the jobs are quite low and as a result many have to work in the IT sector. But as you are in top NIT's so you will have core placements but the packages will again be lower for the core fields. So if you wish to have a placement with greater salary then this can be the progression you should follow to prioritize:

The tuition fees for 1st year is INR 1,60,000. The fees for rest of the 3 years is INR 2 lakhs each for every year.
You can check the official notice & the fees distribution here:

Assuming 1650 is your PWD Rank, it is difficult to get admission in NIT -Surathkal as last year the lowest rank to get admission in NIT-Surathkal is around 800. However you had some chance in special round. Special round happens only when seat remain empty after all previous rounds. If any seat remain unfilled then you had chance to get NIT-Surathkal because cutoff remains low than normal rounds.
Thanks!!!!
Closing OBC PwD rank for NIT Surathakal was :-
So you have quite low chances to get NIT Surathakal with any of the branches even if you have Home state quota.
