Hi,
Based on your percentile , your ST Category rank would be around 3100+. If we look at the cutoff of NIT Surathkal, The closing rank in last round of JOSAA Councelling was around 2800 for Female students in Mechanical Branch. Last year, only few seats were there in Special round. So if NIT Surathkal had any seat left for special round, then you had a chance to get that seat because the closing rank for special round is more than your expected rank. Last year only Civil Engineering branch was there in Special round 1.
Thanks!!!
As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-
Closing ST rank for NIT Surathakal was :-
And your ST rank is expected to be around 9,000
So you have quite low or almost no chances to get NIT Surathakal with any of the branches even if you have Home state and female quota.

10th and 12th grade points are one of the deciding factors that add weightage to your points while applying for MBA in reputed IIMs.A grade of 90% plus is always preferred in this case.
Similar situation is for Delhi University for MCA, JNU for MCA, your 12th grad needs to be exceptional. These are the top educational institutions and the competition remians at a cut-throat level at all times.
However, for Hyderabad university, NITk 10th and 12th marks are not taken into consideration much.
Hope this clears your doubt. Fee free to reply back for any concerns. All the Best!
