Shivam Kumar 16th Aug, 2021

According to the previous years' data analysis, you may get the following branches in NIT Karnataka:

  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

If you are interested in these branches, then you may go with them. If you want some other branch, then you have to perform better in the next attempt.

NITK vs IIT BHU, which is better for MTech?

Purbayan Chatterjee 12th Aug, 2021

Hi Rajesh,

The answer to your question depends on the factors based on which you're judging the colleges. To start with, both of the institutes are amongst the best engineering institutes of India, and in fact, some of the surveys ranked NIT Trichy higher than IIT BHU, but that doesn't mean IIT BHU is less good.

IIT BHU is one of the oldest IITs and has state of the art labs and libraries, Sports and Research facilities, and excellent placements. Not to forget, the bright peer group you will be surrounded by.  And the most importantly the ‘IIT Tag’ that will make you most happy. Keeping in mind all of the above factors, IIT BHU will provide an unmatched experience for sure.

Now NIT Trichy won’t give you an IIT tag, but surely it would provide you with the best infrastructure and placement offers. Also, NIT Trichy has lower fees when compared to IIT BHU.

In the end, it all boils down to the fact what you really want... a branch of your choice or a college tag.

Choose wisely and all the best.

Can I get ECE in nitk with 98.2

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 9th Aug, 2021

Hi

Your profile suggests that your home state is AP.

So, you will be eligible for other state  in NIT K i. e NIT Surathkal.

With  98.2 percentile

It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you hold extremely low  chance to get a seat in nit Surathkal for ECE

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020,  4151 rank for general category for gender neutral  was closing rank to get a seat ECE in Nit Surathkal under other state.

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

But yes,

You  have chances in following NITs which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, for gender neutral for  other state for ECE :-

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala- 24809

  • Nit meghalaya -27791

  • Nit nagaland -36482

And a few more

This above prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Admission with KCET 20000 rank?

Shja 7th Aug, 2021
Dear Aspirant,

Ofcourse you can get admission with this rank but you must know that it's no way that you are getting CSE/IT branch in a good reputed college with this rank. This is because the competition for these branches is over the top. These are the most popular branches. You may get some other branches in some lower rank colleges. You should attend the counseling session and wait for the best option. Also, there are some colleges which provide admission on the basis of management quota. You should try researching on that aspect as well.
My suggestion is that you should give other entrance exams as well like SRMJEEE, VITEEE, MHT-CET etc.

Hope this Helps!
Best Wishes
