National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal
Hello Aspirant,
I would say it is a good choice to pursue MCA in NIT Surathkal. As far as NITK is concerned, it stands among top 10 universities in India. It has amazing placements of about 95% with the highest offer being 18 LPA and lowest being 3.5 LPA and average 7-8 LPA packages. Infrastructure and faculty both are top-notch and well-trained with lots of experience. MCA intake in NITK is 51 in which 23 seats are for open general category.
Coming to the admission process, it will be done on the basis of performance in the entrance examination called NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Entrance Test). The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission in to their MCA programme. NITs at Agartala , Allahabad , Bhopal, Calicut , Durgapur , Jamshedpur , Kurukshetra , Raipur , Surathkal , Tiruchirappalli and Warangal offer MCA courses.
Hope this helps
All the best to your future endeavours

Rank varies as per the percentile from year to year. However you can expect NIT Karnataka at a percentile of 92-95 percentile. It is a good college and there are lot of competition to get the seat for general category. However if you are in Sc/ST then you can expect to get seat in second to third rounds even with cutoff of 90 percentile.
Hope it helps!!

Dear Aspirant,
admission to NITK is cannot be obtained through KCET Examination. You can secure admission at NITK based on your JEE Mains score, only if it is the qualification score for admission at NITK.
Hello,
overall, both the campus is good. the faculty and facilities are good in both campus. In case of placement NITK show good result than hyderbad university. But does not mean that hyderbad university doesnot have good placement. The hyderbad university also provide good placement. but when we compare the average package the NITKS lead the hyderbad university from past few years.
Due to research for your marks it's quite difficult to getting the computer science in NIT Karnataka.
Because last 2020 OBC female rank was around 8k for home state and 1500 for other state. With this marks your rank will be between 11k to 9k. So the chances are very less. But you can get civil engineering, chemical engineering department from this college. Because the rank will be higher than CSE department. You can counselling and after that may be you can get CSE in this college. I'll provide you a link below you can check it for more college details
