Well with the present percentile you may qualify JEE mains .
so there are very less chances of getting NITS.
but do not worry there is still an april attempt left and there are many reputed colleges which offer their own entrance exam like SRM conducts SRMJEE, VIT

To get admission in NIT surathkal

You will need more than 170 marks to get a seat without any problems if you are from general category.

And 160+ will be safe for any reservations as percentile required to get admission in NIT surathkal is more than 98 percentile.

The chances of getting a seat in nits depend on your rank obtained in jee main exam.

Though it is difficult to predict actual rank or JEE advanced qualify marks. your expected rank can be calculated by using the formula

At 86 percentile in jee mains your all India rank will be between 1,21,664- 1,41,664.
