I don't think it will be possible for you to get NIT Surathkal by JoSSA counseling because you need to secure a rank below 10000 to stand a chance in any branch.
Competition is such that even after the 7th round of JoSSA, it will not be possible
NIT Trichy is definitely a good college when it comes to engineering colleges.It's atmosphere, peers, competition is above all.When it comes to placements in NIT Trichy, they are good for all branches provided you are a good and hard working student. They give placements in Tata Steel, Reliance, Oracle, etc...
