Hope this information helps you clear your doubts regarding this.
Have a good day and great future ahead...
It may be both advantageous and disadvantageous both as top rankers in spite of going somewhere else may come to nitk for AI as it is a cse related branch which might create problem in getting good branches for lower rankers though it may make life easier for people opting for core branches as when people will get good branch they would mostly not join core branch just for college tag hence it can be both good or bad but overall for the industry it is always better.
All 3 are top institutions of india but the real fight of choosing is between nit trichy cse and iiit hyderabad ece if you are totally oriented towards cse then nit trichy is best go for it but if you can go with ece and want to innovate something then iiit hyderabad is good note that academic rigour is high in iiit hyderabad also placement wise nit trichy cse might be slight ahead so it depends on you and choose wisely.
First thing to ponder is that core sector jobs are not very lucrative in terms of pay packages and the branches you have mentioned are also reeling under the bar coming to the main point nitk chemical vs civil then in this case from an indian prospective civil might offer better packages as compared to chemical which has good prospects outside india so first think which branch you are interested in and then move forward as both are core sector branches and not much difference is there in terms of pay packages.
Yes you can definitely change your branch at NIT Surathkal firstly when you are under counseling then you can get your branch change in further rounds of josaa according to jee main ranks and secondly you can get your branch change when you have taken admission and after you 1st year you can apply for branch change based on your cpi at end of first year.
Here I would go with it branch at nitk as it is one of the top colleges in india renowned for btech also it is amongst the top nits of india so you will have a great exposure as well on the other hand iiser kolkata is also a renowned institute ut in the field of science so ultimately it boils down to you that what you want to do whether you want to do research or do a btech and become a computer/it engineer hence choice is upto you.
Hi student,
As per your query NITK Surathkal fee-waiver is given in three slabs mainly:-
1. Income < 1 Lakh 100% fee waiver provided
2. Income between 1-5 lakhs, 1/3 rd of tution fee
3. Above 5 lakhs no fee waiver with full fee exemption for SC, ST and PWD candidates.
The candidates belonging to, ST and PH category need not to produce family income certificate for claiming these tution fee waiver.
While on the other hand, general and OBC candidates to claim these tution fee waiver need to produce their annual family income certificate.
With the required format ( as per JOSAA business rules) one needs to submit their caste certificate certified by government.

Hello, I hope you are doing well
SSP Karnataka post-matric scholarship is provided to those students who are pursuing their education beyond class 10th.
Now since you have not mentioned your category so it is hard to say that you can get benefit of this scholarship or not as this scholarship is only for SC, ST, OBC students not for general or unreserved students.
SC/ST student can get fee reimbursement for engineering and diploma in engineering. To avail the benefit of SSP Scholarship, You should be a permanent resident of Karnataka. Your annual family income should be between Rs 2.5 lakhs to 10 lakhs.
Hope this helps
you have not mentioned your category so I am assuming general category. National Institute of Technology Surathkal qualifying cutoff for general category students is 100 as maximum cut off qualifying score. The lowest qualifying cut off score for general category is 87. So it is quite difficult or impossible for you to get entry in National Institute of Technology SuratKhal in any of its specialisations. The candidates who score equivalent or higher are are called for josaa counselling rounds as per their category.
