According to the previous years cutoffs and trends, with a rank of 1,055 it would be unlikely you will be able to get any college since the maximum cutoff varies around 660 for general. Also there are only about 340 seats for general category too.

You have a great general rank and you can get any NIT. The only concern is about the branch in top NITs you have to check the josaa official site for the previous year cutoffs to avoid error in counselling mistakes which students usually make.Warangal, Suratkal, Trichy, Rourkela being top NITs check their last year cutoff and being from NIT rourkela I can tell you that you have a great chance in a good branch of NIT

According to previous years cut off analysis which is subjective as cut off ranks change every year nothing can be predicted with 100% sureity,Total seats for open category = 339,Total seats for obc category =208 , so there are in total of 547 seats against which no of applicants are quite high ,cut off is generally around 650 from general category and around 1700-1800 for obc acc to previous years analysis so you might have less chances of getting into NIT.

If i see previous year rankings then based on your rank in obc which is 554 . You are eligible for getting different nit except the top three nit.

You should be getting NIT Allahabad, NIT Bhopal, NIT Calicut, NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamshedpur and many more.

If you haven't got in first and second round then you will get in third round.

The document that arebrequired for the NIMCET document verification process are:

• Mark sheets of class 10th and 12th
• NIMCET scorecard
• 5-6 coloured pass-port size photographs
• income certificate
• category certificate
• medical certificate
• residence certificate

In my experience , in any Counselling process if are allocated in seat, you have to report at centre and pay the asked fee and complete the other formalities to claim your seat otherwise your seat is cancelled and you are not allowed to participate in further rounds of Counselling. I would suggest you to contact the Counselling conducting body tell your problem. They May have any solution.
