You need to clear the backlogs for appearing in Nimcet exam. Please go through the below guidelines:

Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST) in

If you are from general category, I am afraid you have very little chance provided your marks and rank. But do not worry you will get a lot of colleges to choose from.

All the NITs accept admission through JEE Mains only.

You can't take admission through any other exam.

You should try on your home state NIT so you will get better branch !
