As per the eligibility You should be Graduate with degree (BCA/B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc/BIT) as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university to apply for NIMCET. To check the complete information about the eligibility you can go through with the given below link.

In order to be eligible for NIMCET you need to score at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA score in aggregate of all subjects in graduation degree i.e. BCA/B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc/ BIT as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised University.
For SC/ST you should have 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA score on a 10 point scale in aggregate of all subjects.

No, there is no stipend in NITs for MCA students as there is nothing officially announced for the same as well.

Since you have asked this question months ago, I hope you have performed well in the exam and got admission in any of the NITs too.
Answering to your question, NIMCET exam consists of question from Mathematics, Analytical ability and logical reasoning, Computer awareness and General English.
For preparation of the exam, student must be well aware about the syllabus and pattern of the exam. Focus on each subject. Making short notes can help in the last time revision. Practising previous year papers and sample papers are also important as it help to know about the type of questions asked in the examination.
As there is nothing declared for 2018 session but as per previous year cut off yes, you can apply for NIMCET as a candidate must be holding a graduation degree i.e. BCA/B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc/ BIT as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised University. You can only get admission in MCA in NITs through NIMCET as there is no management or direct seat quota so I would suggest you to prepare for the entrance test and get decent score so that you can easily get admission there in top NITs. Also, as of now the dates are not yet announced but as per previous year information the forms should be released in the month of Feb 2018 and exam should be held in the month of May.
