Abhishek, in 2019 under State Quota, an All India Rank of 4531 secured a seat in CSE under OBC Category. Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. For a seat in NIT Patna under OBC Category, you will need atleast 240 and above. Now this is based on previous years data. But 240 and above will put you in a decent place. For assistance in JEE Preparation, we have JEE Knockout: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/
Okay I'll mention the cutoffs of the previous years - The cutoff ranks . Because marks will change from year to year but what you can rely on is the ranks. see nit jamshedpur and nit pattna both of the nits is excellent in terms of placement, infrastructure and faculty. now coming to metallurgical engineering, it is a part of mechanical engineering, and some of the syllabus has similarity with chemical engineering, however job and career view prospect, mechanical engineering is better choice then metallurgical engineering.

Hello,
i am sorry to say that you can't get any NIT colleges ,because your percentile is not good for general EWS category. You have to score minimum 94 plus percentile to secure your seat in NIT colleges.I hope from you that you will secure atleast 94 percentile to secure your seat in NIT COLLEGES.
THANKS
Any percentile around 98 is decent and have probability of getting good branches in NIT Patna. If you score around 98 percentile then your rank will be around 18000-19000 and you will have chances of getting all top branches in NIT Patna. You can get Branches like Computer Science and Electronics and Communication through OBC Category, Home State in NIT Patna
