hello,
having a reservation category will make you open to lots of colleges by lowering your general rank by a factor. You have to score atleast 60-70% of the total marks to get into Top NIT. Your rank is calculated as per the percentile and your perentile is calculated by how many candidates are ahead you. The more you score, the less candidates will be ahead you.
So prepare accordingly and practice as much as you can.
Hope it helps!

Hey Manas!
If you want to secure a minimum mark to secure to get into NIT, Patna that is approx 150 out of 360. But, it's procedure has been changed already because national council has decided that admission will be done through the entrance exam of NTA that is known as National Testing Agency.
Thank You!
Mostly yes. Because at 150 marks out of 300 IN MAINS as per the previous year analysis, gives you a rank between 22 thousand to 29 thousand. And nit Patna had closing rank cutoff of 29652 rank for the home state. So you'll be able to get into computer science engineering comfortably guess so.
