National Institute of Technology Raipur
Dear student,
NITs are top technical institute after IITs but the startup culture is evidently different. Some best NITs with startup culture are:-
1. NIT Trichy -
Surely number 1, This institute has given many good startup like hacker rank and also have good alumni network.
2. NIT Surathkal -
This NIT is also very good in startup networking and alumni guidance. One of the famous example of startup from this nit is Practo.
3. NIT Warangal-
It has come a long way in short span of time. In recent time the startup culture in this nit is surging. Some examples of startups are Skylark lab, cusmat technology etc.
Along this NIT kurukshetra, MNNIT Allahabad are also very good.
Hello Aspirant,
Coming to your query lets compare the two institutions.
IIIT-NR is a relatively new college and has less strength. There are no well established clubs, committee or training and placement office yet.
NIT-RR is well established in terms of Alumnus support, events and placements.
So in case of NIT- Raipur and IIIT-NR you can go for NIT Raipur
Hope this helps!!
Dear aspirant,
As you want admission in nit Raipur cse and considering you would be having the benefit of home state quota and obc then you need to score atleast 180+ to get into this branch in this college.
As you are now starting from zero let me tell you that it's very important to be focused and study very efficiently. It is not required to study 10-12 hours in a day. But whatever you have studied you should have studied very efficiently because you should remember whatever you study and kindly practice as much mock papers you can.

Hope you understand , in case of any issue you can comment here and also make a new query for the same.
Thank you .
If you were to go by my opinion then i think you should take iit bhilai only if you get non core branches but if you are not getting non core branches then i don't think you should iit bhilai as it's newer iit.
Whereas nit Raipur is very good and renowned in terms of placements and academic achievements. Here you can take both non core and core branches. The average package of this college is 8.7L per annum.
Although iit bhilai has 10L average package but that is mainly due to its non core branches and not the core branches.
As per your query ,
this is a common doubt while choosing admission in colleges which is better or not.
The Placements in IT at nit Raipur is very good and since civil is a core branch hence less avg package
